Hi Chuck,
Such a coincidence as I’ve been having this discussion with a client recently. Really great stuff in the PDF.
Thanks so much.

If I ever get asked to give a presentation—regardless of who the audience is—I’m going to speak on this subject and use your exact slides. Even if they ask me to speak on a faith-based topic…Nope…I’m gonna give ‘em this talk about The Fold
Also, does your uncle Fred at the thefoldinc.org know you’re writing articles about The Fold being a myth?

Great stuff Chuck,
I have many clients that may happen to hear something concerning “the fold” and mention it, but they all are never able to explain where or what it is . .Buzz words, hate them. They just seem to think everything needs to be at the top of the page which always makes for great page layouts and designs.
I will use this info in the future to kill any ideas they may have that every page has to be so very top heavy.

I think The Fold was a problem in 2002 as mice with scrollers were uncommon. If I ever touch a mouse that does not have a scroller, scrolling the page with on-screen scrollbars still annoy me. Today this has changed since luckily I haven’t seen many old-schoold mice laying around.

Very nice - you said in one presentation what it took me two articles to say. This is definitely one for the ‘defence’ portfolio!

Great stuff. Downloaded as future ammunition.
